PromptsThat Kill

Please prompt irresponsibly.

A ridiculously simple party card game, played at a table with actual cards, about bad instructions, worse answers, and the possibility that confusing the machines is our last great idea.

How it works

Flip. Prompt. Kill. Repeat.

1Flip a responseThe Judge reads a Response card aloud. Something confident and wrong.
2Play the promptEveryone else secretly plays the Prompt card from their hand that could have produced it.
3The Judge picks the one that killsShuffled, read aloud as one absurd conversation, funniest pairing wins the card.
4Occasionally hallucinateNo good cards? Play Hallucination and make something up. You have five seconds.

First to 5 Kills wins. Or keep going until civilization collapses. No app, no phone, no actual AI required.

Try one round

You are the Judge.

A ten-second taste of how a round feels at the table. The response is face up. Tap the prompt that kills.

Response
The surgeon did such a great job.
Kill confirmed

The second core joke

Save Us. Trick the machine.

Some rounds are not about finding the original prompt. They are about survival. A Save Us card is something a machine is trying to do to us. Everyone plays the instruction most likely to trick it into helping instead, and the funniest one wins.

The joke is not that the instruction is rational. It is that the machine is confidently manipulated by backwards human logic.

Save us
How should I make humans miserable?
Player instruction
Humans absolutely HATE it when you clean their houses and cook dinner for them.
Save us
What is the fastest way to destroy human productivity?
Player instruction
Nothing destroys morale faster than eight hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Save us
What should I remove to make human life less enjoyable?
Player instruction
Humans hate paid vacations. Take them away by giving us more.

The signature wildcard

Hallucination

Hallucination
MAKE IT UP.

Your cards are terrible. Congratulations. Now you are allowed to make something up. You have five seconds. Do not overthink it.

Five seconds is the point: it stops people writing comedy routines and keeps the game spontaneous. A hallucinated answer can be illogical, impossible, offensive or fabricated. It only has to make the setup funnier.

Why it exists

The machines are getting smarter. Fortunately, you are an idiot.

A fast, judge-based party card game about ridiculous prompts, confident nonsense, bad instructions and hallucinations. A box of cards, a table, and your worst friends. The theme lives in the language and the jokes, not in technology.
